Need a place to crash after the festivities? We suggest booking a room at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Lompoc which is about 15 minutes away from the ranch. Enjoy door to door service! We will have shuttle rides from the Hilton Garden Inn to the venue that will run from 3:00pm to 2:00am. There is no parking at the ranch so this is the only way to get to the wedding and back. The last shuttle to catch the ceremony will be at 4:00pm sharp. Please don’t be late!
Check-in at the Hilton Garden Inn isn’t until 3:00pm so please plan accordingly. Booking a room on Friday evening will guarantee enough time to get ready Saturday morning before the shuttle service. Alternatively, you can arrive dressed and ready to catch the shuttle before checking into your room.
what to do
We mentioned that this is in the heart of wine country right?! The ranch is just two hours away from Santa Barbara and less than an hour from Solvang, Los Olivos and Santa Ynez, all wonderful places to visit. Santa Barbara is a beautiful beach city with tons of shops and restaurants – check out The Drunken Crab for yummy fish and chips and for the best breakfast in town go to Dawn Patrol! If you’re outdoorsy like us, you’ll enjoy the hiking in the area. We’ve taken the whole family to the Cold Spring Trail – including Zoey! Most everywhere in Santa Barbara is pup friendly. This hike is moderate, easy to get to and has beautiful views!
If you’d like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage or two, definitely make your way to Solvang/Los Olivos/Santa Ynez. You can spend your morning wine tasting at Demetria Estate Winery or Zaca Mesa Winery. Or if beer is more your style, Figueroa Mountain Brewing has a tasting room in Los Olivos. Then for a tasty treat, head to the quaint town of Solvang and stop by Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery. They have the BEST butter cookies in all different varieties! You can buy them by the bucketful! Also make sure to check out the windmill in the center of town!
Looking for something out of the ordinary? Visit Ostrichland USA! You can feed and pet giant ostriches and emus for just $5 per person. You can also check out their gift shop and buy ostrich eggs that feed up to 24 people! It’s located in between Buellton and Solvang.
